Why XP is More Important than ever in MLB The Show 19

MLB The Show 19 XP

Welcome back to another post about MLB The Show 19. Today we are going to be talking about why XP is more important in this year’s game. If you want to stay updated on future posts, follow my Twitter here and like my Facebook page here. You can read my other MLB The Show 19 posts here.

MLB The Show 19 XP Basics

XP stands for Experience Points, which you can earn from doing missions, collections, or playing games. Every so often you earn enough XP to level up. In MLB The Show 19 there are Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond levels. There are 100 levels before you go to the next tier. So after Bronze 100, you go to Silver, after Silver 100 you go to Gold, and so on.

More About MLB The Show 19 XP

Previously in MLB The Show, XP was not used for much more than showing people how much time and effort you had put into the game. But now, XP can help improve your team and make you more Stubs. In the Collect tab on the Diamond Dynasty home screen, you will see something that says, “XP Reward Path”. This is where you can see what you have earned, and what is upcoming. Basically, you will earn a reward for every 5 levels. Here is what the XP Reward Path tab looks like:

The XP Reward Path in MLB The Show 19 Diamond Dynasty

Now I am going to be telling you all of the things you can earn. For the Bronze levels, I will tell you all of the rewards. Also, the basic thing to know is that every 100 levels, you will be able to choose a 99 overall player.

MLB The Show 19 XP Bronze Rewards

Bronze Level 5: XP Gear Up Choice: Choose 1 Gold Equipment Item

Bronze Level 10: Standard Pack

Bronze Level 15: Choose 3 Silver or Bronze Flashback/Legend Players

Bronze Level 20: Choose 1 Gold Flashback/Legend Pitcher

Bronze Level 25: Choose 1 Gold Live Series Player

Bronze Level 30: 2,500 Stubs

Bronze Level 35: Choose 1 Gold Flashback/Legend Position Player

Bronze Level 40: Audio Unlockables

Bronze Level 45: Choose 1 Gold Equipment Item

Bronze Level 50: Choose 1 of 30 Diamond Flashback/Legend Players

Bronze Level 55: 1 Standard Pack

Bronze Level 60: Choose 1 Gold Flashback/Legend Pitcher

Bronze Level 65: 5,000 Stubs

Bronze Level 70: Choose 3 Flashback/Legend Players (Same as Level 15)

Bronze Level 75: Choose 1 High Diamond Flashback/Legend Player (All players are 93+ Overall)

Bronze Level 80: Choose 1 Gold Live Series Player

Bronze Level 85: 5,000 Stubs

Bronze Level 90: Choose 1 Gold Flashback/ Legend Pitcher

Bronze Level 95: Choose 1 Gold Equipment Item

Silver Level 1: Choose 1 Max Overall Legend Player (Choices are Brooks Robinson, Frank Thomas, Joe Morgan, Tony Gwynn, and Duke Snider.)

Those are all the rewards you can earn for the Bronze levels, and you can still earn tons of Diamond Flashbacks and Maxed Cards after that. That is why XP is so important in this years game. Also, remember you get a 99 overall every 100 levels.

MLB The Show 19 Collections: Introduction

MLB The Show 19 Collections

Welcome back to another post. Today we are going to be talking about Collections in MLB The Show 19 Diamond Dynasty. Collections are sets you can do to earn rewards such as Stubs, XP, and cards. To stay updated on future posts, follow my Twitter here and like my Facebook page here.

Last year, a lot of the ways to earn cards required you to trade items in and remove them from your inventory. But this year, the game is more focused on collecting cards to earn rewards.

MLB The Show 19 Collections Types

Currently, there are 7 different types of MLB The Show 19 Collections. I will be individually posting about all of these, but for now, let’s just go over the generals of what each Collection contains. Starter Collections are sets to complete at the start of the game to earn packs. Live Series is where you collect the card for every current player in the MLB. Featured Programs are sets that will help you complete programs when you finish the set. I will be getting more in-depth as to how programs have changed this year also. Then there are Legends and Flashbacks, where you collect cards that are a flashback type like Rookie, Breakout, and Veteran. Stadiums are very straightforward, you can collect all of the Classic, MLB, and Minor League stadiums.

Unlockables and Equipment are where you collect all of the bats, gloves, cleats, and animations, sounds, and rituals in the game. And finally, Created Player also goes along with programs, as you are collecting players for program stars.

This was just a quick overview of what programs are, but I will start with the Starter Collections and move in order going through what each of the collections exactly requires. Thanks for reading this and if this was helpful and you enjoyed, make sure to look out for more MLB The Show 19 Collections content here. Finally, if you want to catch up on my MLB The Show posts from last year’s version of this game, you can find those posts here.
